Last night, DeAnna the Bachelorette chose Jesse, the snowboarding, “longer-haired” “Duckie” of the group to be her fiance. I was on Team Jesse, and what I saw of the three hours of Bachelorette-related programming last night was very “aww.” I give them six years. Today, cynical world-weary bloggers like Mark Lisanti were able to hold back their joy-feelings for DeAnna and Jesse long enough to point out that Jesse’s proposal-notes spelled it “your” instead of “you’re”:

  1. Well, I certainly turned out to be WAY wrong. I wasn’t a fan of Jesse or Jason (or Jeremy, for that matter) but I concede that the couple looked to be extremely happy together … so what do I know? One aside: during the regular episodes, the editors NEVER showed much affection between D and Jesse, so I think the viewers were led to believe he didn’t stand a chance. In last night’s recap of “how it all evolved,” their chemistry was undeniable.

P.S. What about Shayne and Matt? Comments, anyone?
