In the high school job fair episode of The Office last month, one young actor stood out because he was given an unusual number of lines for a one-episode character. He was the kid Michael discouraged from taking a job at Dunder Mifflin. And he looked so familiar it was driving me nuts, but The Office always takes forever to update their IMDB credits pages. Yesterday, The Apiary solved the gigantic mystery: the actor was Trevor Einhorn, who played Frederick Gaylord Crane, Frasier’s son, on Frasier. Of course! Seriously, of course. I watched Frasier. Here’s young Trevor in his bar mitzvah episode, where Frasier accidentally speaks Klingon:
(Yep, a clip from Frasier. Gabe’s favorite show.)

He was also on a short-lived ABC sitcom that tried to market itself as the next Arrested Development and was created by some guy who knew nothing about being funny and everything about being maudlin. Not taking the time to look it up, but just still glad that that particular show died quickly.
“Help Me Help You” starring Ted Danson. He was also on Mad TV when he was 8.
Poor kid! That makes TWO crappy ABC sitcoms that he was on. The show I’m thinking of is called “Sons & Daughters” and the unfunny guy I speak of is Fred Goss, who was also on Carpoolers, which creates a “six degrees of sub-par ABC sitcoms with the same people that I was morbidly curious enough to watch”.
Oh I was thinking Sons and Daughters was Brothers and Sisters. His appearance on The Office could have been predictive of a running character, maybe.
He looks like Eugene Mirman, if Eugene Mirman was 17
Okay, that has got to be the kid from Basketball. Forgive me, i was 12…
looks like the fat kid from “the sandlot” all grown up.
