In a summer otherwise devoid of decent television (Swingtown?: No.) HBO’s doing a really cool Summer Documentary series, premiering a new doc every Monday night at 9 until the end of August. The series features movies about such diverse subjects as a year in the life of four Iraqi students (Baghdad High), the story of a young woman imprisoned in Bali for pot possession (Ganja Queen), and tonight’s Polanski: Wanted And Desired:
There are twelve new documentaries in all, and they all look really good. Even the one about Heidi Fleiss. Ignoring Dina Lohan will be mercifully easier starting tonight.
