Comcast put up a new Dark Knight video today (watch it here, via io9) that features some behind-the-scenes footage interspliced with mostly previously seen trailers, but there are a few new clips in there, like Harvey Dent flipping his coin, the Joker standing in front of a burning pile of money (oh nooooo!), and the shot above, which is great. Usually these types of promotional materials that are edited as if the audience was under the impression that movies were made by just turning a camera on and pointing it at Batman, who is real, are boring, and this one is boring, but let’s be honest, Dark Knight, you guys. So exciting. We will watch whatever we can get. July just got a little more batmanteresting.

But one thing that I am confused about: hasn’t IMAX been around since the early ’70s? So why are we still talking about it like Indiana Jones brought back an ancient artifact whose power we can’t fully understand yet? “Most people don’t realize this, but IMAX is the largest resolution available.” No, I’m pretty sure most people reallize that. Either they realize that, or they strangely don’t question why going to see the dizzy movie on the magic screen costs more of the green paper that’s in their pocket folders.
