In this clip from The Promotion (“election in a supermarket“), John C. Reilly shows rival grocery store manager Seann William Scott his intimidating tattoo. The clip comes complete with praise from Kevin Smith for the movie’s use of profanity. It’s an odd thing to praise, unless you’re Kevin Smith:

I’m not sure if that particular tattoo rivals Jules Winnfield’s wallet in Pulp Fiction, but clips like this and an exclusive clip on Cinematical today make me excited for this movie as an intelligent alternative to all the stupid summer comedies I will also pay to see.

God dammit, what’s that damn song that’s playing at the end. It’s driving me nuts! If only I could remember any of the lyrics, I could google it, but my brain goes all the way to where they start singing and then stops. ARG!
