  1. Uncle Jay make only the most exquisite of vodkas.

  2. To be fair to Kanye, his beats aren’t dope in the slightest.

as if kanye couldn’t look any worse, his (kind of a) buddy aziz throws him under the bus for listening to his own shit. HILARIOUS! long live aziz ansari.

  4. All of America is grateful that he didn’t make a Kanye/VMA joke.

  5. “I’m Sorry” intro music, Paul? Clever girl.

  8. Aziz is the man. Saw him at upright citizens in NY a while back hosting a night of stand-up with nick kroll AKA Bobby Bottleservice. One of the most hilarious nights of my life.

(PS Nick Kroll’s character “Fabrice” is a million times funnier than bobby bottleservice. get some fabrice on this site)

  9. aw, aziz on letterman. and to think just a few years back he was ripping off ted leo’s beard and hyping up Tapes and Tapes. 2006 4 LYFE!

  10. i just realized that david letterman had all the set ups to aziz’z jokes written down on one of those blue cards. Do they always do that on latenight televsion? I thought that the guy on the right (left 4 carson) asks the questions only right at the time that the person on the left (right 4 carson) hears them for the first time. I didn’t realize the contestant or whatever could actually write a script out ahead of time and give the INTERVIEW-ER the short bitsie “questions”. that’s so fucked.

The cards are generally pre-interview stuff. The basic idea is that they get ‘topics’ to bring up, so they can set up a joke, or story, etc … rarely is the whole thing scripted (and sometimes a host or guest will just wing it), but the producers usually want a ‘lay out’ of the interview, mostly for pacing reasons (not to mention to have clips and stuff available to show when they are asked for) and of course for content. Not to mention it would get very boring to watch people thinking about their answers.

  12. i know; i was b’ing SARScastic. but seriously. the dave and az az x=change was so phony baloney to me because i perceived that dave was just reading the next cue from the card. the stories were SET UPS. i do wish he talked about going to princes house and trying to use princes bathroom though.

  13. for some reason i found myself hoping “my friend jason” was schwarzman or segel, as if that could have somehow made that story better.
