You can watch it here. Mostly it looks like…well, a remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street. But with more knife-glove-sparks. Because the future=sparks. Also, Mrs. Coach Taylor, NO!

Goodbye.
Yay!

This post is like 10 times more funny if you read it in Anne Robinson’s The Weakest Link voice.
I read it as the AOL sign off guy from back in the day.

It’s just a game, Focker!
RIP Da Cake Eatur
As annoying as the “lololololololololol!!!” was (were? i don’t know), gotta give props for actually going against the wrath of Gabe and knowing that the ban was coming. r.e.: Leonidas/Persia, but on a grander scale.
More like A Nightmare on Elm Circle. Cause… you know, it’s all the same? bloop.
You had me at “From Producer Michael Bay.”
I like the sweater reveal. That callback to the original is there for the super fans, i.e. the people who love the original and have no interest in a remake. It’s a taunt, really.
WAIT WHAT the fuck? There’s SOME AWESOME shots in THAT trailer that are literally DIRECT COPIES from the original. LAME.
this guy’s feelin it:

nightmare on elm street was the first movie to literally scare the pants off me. i still can’t find those pants.
There were plenty of sparks in the original, Gabe.
Nightmare on Poop Street.
ok…so steve nash is freddy krueger?
Dear Minister of Naming Shitty Seqels and Remakes –
A Nightmare on Elm Street? Fast and Furious? The Final Destination? Adding and/or subtracting words does not a new title make. Quit it.
A Nightmare on Elm Street is the original name.
The new Freddy would scare me more if he took all those marbles out of his mouth.
so Jimmy Stewart is the voice of Freddie/Freddy?
Is Jackie Earl Hailey now doomed to play roles of creepy guys in hats who hang out in industrial areas with steam spouting forth and buildings ablaze? That makes me sad.
The original A Nightmare on Elm Street was so surprisingly good when I saw it for the first time 9 years ago, I don’t see why you would remake it (other than that’s what Hollywood does *honk!*) The fact that it’s a remake to extent that the chick is going to float up to the ceiling, get cut up, and be telekinetically used to paint the walls of her room red has no appeal to me. It’ll probably be computer graphics, unlike the original where they brought in an actual TELEKINETIC to get that shit done. Pshh. Fuckin’ remakes.
Did anyone else notice that the movie comes out on 4.30. I guess they want everyone to be high for the movie ; )
