It’s like, I see what you’re trying to do, but I’m not sure it’s helping.

  1. wow this is a bad idea…

  2. Movies about making movies. . . Didn’t Ed Wood already do it best?

  3. Dude, but Chevy Chase and Turd Furgueson in the same movie. In 2009. In a parody of parody films. Has the whole world gone mad!? Am I the only one who gives a shit about the rules anymore?!?

  4. Vinnie Jones as Nancy? I might see it for this alone! Or just watch the trailer.

  5. “Chase plays a studio head who quits his floundering company, leaving his ex-con sibling (Madsen) in charge. Soon their equally inept gangster friend (Jones) takes over and assigns a production assistant (David Leo Schultz) to direct a spoof of spoof movies angering the entitled studio’s head writer (Tim Piper). Reynolds plays an actor playing the director of the chaotic film within the film.”

(not my head – I’m doing okay here)

  6. oog. last week i suggested this title to a friend, as a JOKE. maybe i should be pitching more of my bad jokes to hollywood producers.

  7. so it’s a spoof about a movie that spoofs other movies, starring actors who were in neither the spoofs nor the movies that the spoofs were spoofing, but instead are Once Greats who are now old and maybe even anonymous to audiences of not only the spoofs, but even the movies that the spoofs were spoofing.

    my yogurt cup hurts.

“Their equally inept gangster friend takes over and assigns a production assistant to direct a spoof of spoof movies angering the entitled studio’s head writer.”
So, this is a movie about a movie that spoofs movies that spoof movies?
My movie is making my meta hurt worse than that time in high school when i thought ms. landenberger and mr. land should annex a burger joint called Burger Land, with a play place called Land&LandenbergerBurgerLandLand.

  9. NO! NO! Do you want me to trash your lights?!? You are trashing my scene!*

*This reference is only a little moldy, so it’s still edible.

  10. I mean, it’s Chevy Chase and it’s obviously not going to be as bad as Seltzer and Frieburg, but I can’t help worrying that creating a parody movie of parody movies is going to create a black hole and kill us all.

  11. You guys, I feel like a jerk for linking to my own site, but I tried to make this joke in a comic a year ago:

Now it’s a real thing what?

  12. Does anyone have a bike pump? I need to connect it to my head and pump it until my head explodes.

  13. “The film also stars Richard Tyson and Wolfgang Bodison as themselves in cameo roles.”

    Well, THANK GOD.

  14. This is the slipperiest of slippery slopes.

  15. Last time i saw one of these movies it ended with me and my friends screaming “BOOOOOOOOO” at the screen for an hour and a half, ruining the experience for a bunch of 13 year olds. Also someone may have thrown their full soft drink at the theater screen.

What i’m saying is, until you’ve actually seen one of these movies, you don’t know anything. Sure maybe “Not Another Not Another Movie” won’t do anything. Maybe it will be horrible, and maybe just as horrible as all these other “______ Movie”s are. But someone has to do something. Damnit, we have to try.

  16. Shouldn’t it just be “Not Another Movie,” unless I missed something, the Scary Movie, Superhero Movie, Date Movie franchise has a lot more films in its series, than the Not Another Movies… which was just the one… right?
Or are there straight-to-DVD sequels I missed…. and in which case, do they even count as being significant to popular culture unless they star Steven Seagal (straight-to-dvd movies starring Steven Seagal being the pinnacle of the reason why straight-to-DVD ever happened)?

  17. I always thought this would be called Movie Movie Movie. Yes, this is something I’ve thought about.

  18. Burn, Hollywood, Burn.

  19. I was thoroughly enjoying “Vacation” on the Travel Channel last night (RIP JH) and it reminded me of how great Chevy used to be. Then today I am assaulted by this news and his appearance in “Community” on NBC. I mean, I know why Willie Nelson still opens for Dave Matthews (damn you Taxman!) but why you, Chevy? What is your $17M tax evasion motivation?

  20. This is like when you put one mirror so that it is facing another mirror and then you walk between the mirrors and you shit.

  21. How about instead of trying to make a spoof of spoof movies they just try to make a good spoof movie?

  22. Not another Videogum commet

  23. ya see, it’s a movie within a movie, within a movie within a complete piece of shit!
