I’ll admit that this picture is about a week old, which is maybe something that you know, and if you do know that and you’re feeling a little bit miffed about it, I have one word for you: SORRY! Just kidding, the word is: RELAX! I don’t know how we missed this, but it’s here now, and it’s perfect. Today we are all Kate Middleton’s reaction to meeting Idris Elba, except we will most likely never meet him, and our best bet is to think about it all day in the hope that it will happen in our #dreams. Our second best bet it CAPTIONING IT!

Winner will receive special placement in this week’s Monsters’ Ball and, I’ll be honest again, nothing else. (Via Jezebel.)

  1. You come at Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, Countess of Strathearn and Lady Carrickfergus, you best not miss.

  2. Wait what you look like that and you’re not the prince my husband is, I don’t follow

  3. “Well, get on with it, Your Royal Hig-” and then they hug :)

  4. I love everything about this picture, yes, even the blue room dividers behind Idris.

  5. Well I guess there won’t be a spare heir (as her ovaries exploded).

    • AH!!! I know I’m late so I’m so glad I read through the posts before I said anything, because, frankly, this is the exact joke I was going to make.

  6. “Wait, you’re on the American Office???”

  7. I just want them to kiss

  8. You want to what my Bifrost?

  9. I just want to photoshop Kate into situations where her glee is inappropriate now.

  10. Today I am actually more like Idris Elba’s reaction to meeting Kate Middleton, sort of a frightened bewildered squint/scowl with a touch of real discomfort.

  11. “I will own a suite at Claridges, and run a fleet of carriages, and wave at all the duchesses with friendliness, as much as is befitting of my new estate…”

“Whoa, pal. Didn’t want your life story.”

  12. “You call it…Big Ben?”

  13. This is Aight

  14. “I had no idea you were British!”

  15. So, are they on opposing sides in a life-sized game of Chess, or are they hoping their “Ebony and Ivory” theme will win in a costume contest?

  16. I do love how her normally perfect hair is a bit disheveled here, as it should be when meeting Idris Elba.

  17. She still look elegant even simple attire.
