• I’m not going to try to explain this video of Huey Lewis lip synching “Let It Be” with Jason Alexander because I still don’t really understand it, but you can go over to Death&Taxes to read about it if you’d like! -Death&Taxes
  • Want to watch Martin Scorsese’s perfume ad starring Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey? It’s beautiful, I’ll say that much. Scarlett Johansson is a beautiful lady! Have you guys seen her? -/Film
  • Anne Hathaway might be pregnant, but also maybe might not be. That is just classic Anne Hathaway. -Dlisted
  • I have no idea why everyone is talking about this, but in case you haven’t heard: Blockbuster is closing its last remaining stores. R.I.P. PS: No one know you still had stores. -FilmDrunk
  • Vulture interviewed Jack (“Hawaiian Jack”) from MasterChef Junior and he talked about his Hawaiian shirts. He seems like a nice boy! -Vulture

  1. .I have seen the Let it Be video before and I think it’s so amazing.

  2. I would like to read an interview with anyone who still rents from Blockbuster.

Especially if that person is pissed that they’re closing.

    • I would straight-up not be surprised if my brother still went to Blockbuster. That is, after he got a new card after I racked up a bunch of late fees on his account. Also, a certain friend of mine is keeping her local Family Video in business.

    • There is a blockbuster in NYC and until recently I used to see people going into it. I am not convinced it wasn’t a money laundering scheme, but there were videos and the clientele were all elderly and disabled.

    • I no joke just opened a Blockbuster account like a year ago, maybe less. Don’t judge me. It’s great for when you have sudden cravings for unpopular 80s movies that would never be in a Redbox or streaming on Netflix and your independent movie rental place closed down a few years ago.

      • That said, I am not particularly surprised or upset by this news, so my interview wouldn’t be that entertaining.

        • That also said, just 3 weeks ago, Husbandglue and I spent $22 on 22 VHS tapes because someone had dropped off a particularly juicy collection at the thrift store. So we’re obviously at the top of the food chain when it comes to visual media. I’m saving up for a laserdisc player.

          • Are you interested in a limited edition version of the Dawson’s Creek finale taped off TV complete with local commercials and a couple of random minutes of the 90210 reunion squeezed in there? Because I don’t want to throw it out, but I’ll never be able to watch it again, and I’d like it to go to a good home.

          • I would love to have that Dawson’s Creek tape. Although mostly for the commercials. I don’t remember thinking the finale was very good. Do you have the one where Pacey kisses Joey on the side of the road?

My favorite homemade VHS tape as a kid was the one with Labyrinth and Legend recorded off of HBO. Remember these awesome HBO intros? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1NKoMNy5bY

We have a box of pretty great VHS tapes. I keep thinking that we should hold onto them, but I know we won’t ever watch them again. Part of me thinks they might be worth money at some point, but I know that’s not likely.

Or if we have kids, I would think they would like that shit later. Kind of like when your parents or grandparents bust out antique records or camera equipment.

  3. I spend a lot of time thinking about celebrity pregnancies, specifically the length of Jennifer Aniston’s. When is that alien baby finally going to be done cooking? She’s been pregnant since 2003!
