• Kanye West appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to talk about and smooth over the great Jimmy Kimmel/Kanye West feud, and boy oh boy did Jimmy Kimmel smooth it over way too much, and boy oh boy was Kanye West Kanye West! You can watch the whole thing over at Stereogum. -Stereogum
  • Someone named Bonnie Rose synched up the song “El Paso” around its appearance in Breaking Bad, cut into scenes from the show that mirror the lyrics, and it is very good. That was a very good show. Man oh man. -BonnieRose
  • Olivia Wilde and Billy Eichner play “Obamacare or Shut Up!” in this Funny or Die clip. -FunnyOrDie
  • Christoph Waltz and Chris Pine could possibly play the horrible (this time father and son) bosses in Horrible Bosses 2. It hasn’t been confirmed yet, though, so please hold off on decorating your Horrible Bosses 2 tear-off calendars! -/Film
  • Here is a picture of Marilyn Manson on the set of Eastbound & Down dressed up not like Marilyn Manson. It is VERY strange. -Dlisted

  1. I’m sorry kids but Kanye is annoying. He has taken the rap boasting schtick from the 70s and 80s to a highly uncomical level.

  2. Whoa, I was not prepared for Marilyn Manson’s real face.

  3. If there’s one thing I love more than uncomfirmed Horrible Bosses 2 casting news, it’s unconfirmed Horrible Bosses 3: The Bossening news:

    - Dakota Fanning plays a boss who is stingy with the PTO and also is a secret ax murderer.
    - Haley Joel Osment plays a boss who sets unreasonable expectations and then gets very very upset when his employees don’t meet them, which leads to a high turnover rate.
    - George Burns’s ghost plays God and his employees (angels) constantly talk about how holier-than-thou he is and how he’s always looking down his nose at them like they couldn’t possibly understand how difficult his job is.

  4. Shut up or Obamacare was fine for 30 seconds and then I wanted to kill him, but Olivia Wilde had some great reactions.

  5. I can’t decide what I want to watch less: a video of a guy eating cat vomit off the floor, or a video of Kanye West talking.

  6. imo the Kanye/Kimmel interview was fantastic. They both came off really well.

I can’t decide whether I’m more annoyed or bored at people’s “outrage” with Kanye. Most media/interweb foklks seized upon him calling himself a creative genius out of everything he said in the interview. lol, well guess what jerks…he IS a creative genius…why is it such a bummer that he openly recognizes this?

    • “Creative genius” is HIGHLY subjective in his case. All I see is ‘manic narcissist’. I guess that makes me a jerk?

      • “Creative genius” is indeed subjective.

For example, the Mona Lisa, and therefore Leonardo, is not an example of creative genius because all I see is a boring painting of a very plain white woman. Yawn.
Sure it’s subjective, but most people would say I’m being a jerk, at least about Leonardo.

If you don’t see the creative genius behind someone who changed the landscape of an entire genre of music AT LEAST three times (probably more than that), then fine…it’s all subjective. But I would also say you’re being a jerk….shortsighted at best.

        • “Changed the landscape of an entire genre”? Quite the grandiose speculation. I’m sorry – I know it’s not the most popular opinion, but I don’t find his music remotely interesting or original, and I don’t see who he is influencing in such a huge way. Maybe he helped make autotune more prevalent? It seems to me like most of the ‘groundbreaking’ albums he makes are basically ripping off the production style of more underground artists, with his terrible rapping/autotune singing over it. Maybe it is genius that he’s convinced everyone he’s a genius – I’ll give him that.

          • …so you started to listen to Kanye West around his 4th album and assessed his contributions from there on? At least go to his wikipedia page before you make a statement like that. I almost started to make a numbered list for you but, you know…it’s all HIGHLY subjective, so whatever.

    • I used to HATE Kanye because of his conceit, and I also used to hate Radiohead because of Kid A. But, as with most art I come across (unfortunately), I think I didn’t give them enough time and thought. I’m warming up to Kanye, and this interview helped. The way he talks is very grounded and honest, and it helped me understand him, his style and his sensibilities a little more. It makes me want to listen to and digest his older albums! I guess I’ve learned that it’s better for me to try to understand artists’ intentions before I decide to get upset by their work or what they say. (I love Radiohead, btw!)

TL;DR. I’m just slow at getting art.

  7. olive wilde <3 <3 <3

  8. Clearly Robert Pine should play the father in HBII.
