• Daft Punk did not end up performing on the Colbert Report last night, but Stephen Colbert did get to bitch out MTV and have a dance party to “Get Lucky” with famous friends, which is maybe better? We weren’t there either way! -Stereogum
  • A new teaser for the upcoming season of American Horror Story has been released. It’s spooky! Don’t watch it if you don’t want 2b spooked! -AHS
  • President Obama appeared on The Tonight Show last night. Just letting you know. -WarmingGlow
  • By now I’m sure you’ve all seen the Mumford & Sons “Hopeless Wanderer” video, featuring Jason Sudekis, Jason Batemen, Will Forte, and Ed Helmes — your favorite band and your favorite guys! JK. But so anyway, the LA Times spoke with the director of that video (Sam Jones!) and he a little bit blew up Mumford & Sons cool spot. Hahah. He basically said, “It was my idea and I’m so happy that I could have done it and that they didn’t stop me, even though they tried to.” -LATimes
  • Speaking of last night, Jimmy Kimmel pr-pr-pr-pranked Matt Damon! -JimmyKimmelLive
  • I love everything about Comedy Bang Bang, it’s all very good, including Reggie Watt’s webseries “Reggie Makes Music.” This week he makes music with Lord Andrew Lord Webber. -IFC

  1. I’m looking forward to the third season of AHS. This one is said to be more spooky and less gory than Asylum.

  2. I don’t really like Mumford & Sons music but I did enjoy watching Jason Sudekis and Will Forte kiss.

  3. The whole Stephen Colbert/MTV/Daft Punk thing was great! Mostly cause you could see a little bit of how pissed Colbert really was and how shitty MTV was about it. Colbert is clearly a pro at making great television no matter what the circumstance.
Also, that email that the MTV exec sent is so bonkers. whattadouche.

  4. Somewhere between The Flaconer, Duluth Live, and his role in Flight of the Conchords, Will Forte made me fall in love with him. Never stop making me laugh, buddy!

  5. Great news, guys! I started watching Ru Paul’s Drag Race! You all convinced me and I started at the beginning of season 5 and it’s AMAZING. So great job, everyone! Thanks for your wonderful taste!

  6. Matt Damon is charming.

  7. Aw man, I really think that Andrew Lloyd Webber is my favorite PFT/Comedy Bang Bang character!! Although it’s really hard to choose, because I love Cake Boss and Garry Marshall too!! But yeah, no, probably Andrew Lloyd Webber!

    • Garry Marshall is a close second (due to his ongoing disastrous relationship with Gillian Jacobs), but Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber is the best. His description of the opening scene of Jesus Christ Superstar? “Smashcut to…” “It’s thirty years later, and Skynet has taken over all of Judea!” Wonderful.

  8. Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, and Ed Helms could all be sons of Mitt Romney.

  9. I’m pretty sure that Bryan Cranston keeps rollerskates on him at all times since that amazing Malcolm episode. He trained for this scene. Like actually trained for six weeks and it is glorious thing of beauty.

    This scene:

    • I think we’re all hoping this is how Breaking Bad ends!!

    • That is my favorite scene in however long I watched that show before giving up.

      • All the Hal-centric episodes were the best episodes. Highly recommend the one where he gets into power walking. Or has a boat and is bullied by a neighborhood kid with a bigger boat. Or when they go to meet his family and they’re all super snotty upcrust rich people.

Hal is my all time favorite #1 TV crush ever. I would marry him in second (sorry Lois).

        • Hal is the most normal character in the show. He was kind of endearing. This scene and the scene with Dewey & Bea Arthur dancing to ABBA’s Fernando were my favorites.
