The UK has these new hilarious commercials for a gentle laundry soap meant for babies (of all things) in which a grown-up dude responds appropriately with weird looks when his middle-aged mother treats him like a baby in a variety of ways. But they’re definitely funnier than that sounds! I couldn’t decide between the three commercials because they’re all great and go well together as sketches, mostly because the woman who plays the mom has incredible comic acting skills, so here are all three: “Rubber Ducky,” “Pen Cap,” and “Pee-pee.”
Rubber Ducky:
Pen cap:
Do you need to go pee pee?:
For all I know she’s already famous in the UK, but that lady should be a recurring character on something (at least in more commercials). She’s hilarious! These remind me a little of Will Ferrell’s scenes with Jane Lynch in Talladega Nights, but with the mother acting inappropriately instead of the son. (Via AdRants.)

I guess he deserves it for living at home.
i love his reaction in the last one. these commercials are amazing.
If you need to tinkle just let me know.
I love that there is a “pee” tag on this website. And that it comes up with 8 posts. (SPOILER ALERT, not *all* of them are about Hugh Jackman.)
Meh.
For UK based commericals, they have very subtle accents.
And I agree with Mcluckyist.
if these are UK commercials why are the actors american?
the male actor’s canadian actually!
I always used to wonder come come I’d never seen any of these British ad’s that get posted online. Now I know. Because they’re really Canadian. Also I was watching an old Simpsons episode the other day And Groundskeeper Willie said “Shite”. Do you people not know that that’s not a charming and inoffensive Scottish word?
I love this guy! He’s from the awesome cell phone ads… “Talk-walking?! That’s amazing!!”

I just like that the soap is called “Fairy.” Isn’t that mildly offensive?
Ugh. No. I thought I was finally rid of those horrible Koodo commercials…I never thought innocently clicking a link in the Videogum comments section would make me relive that horror.
lindsay you are really bad with accents..
The most striking thing is the wallpaper, esp. the bathroom.
If you were to follow the links to see more you would see that they were made “by Leo Burnett/Toronto for Fairy’.
These have never been shown in the UK, the actors speak with Canadian accents and are made in Toronto – I therefore conclude THESE ARE CANADIAN NOT BRITISH.
