One thing I like to do with The Petting Zoo is not only deliver the best animal videos the Internet had to offer in the past week, but also deliver the most exciting news of the animal entertainment world. It’s a goal I set for myself and I surpass it ever single week, no matter how high I put the bar. This preamble before the videos is always very exciting and worthwhile and NEVER seems like a weird stream of consciousness that nobody particularly wants or needs, and that is because I am very good at my job, and also because there is always a bit of exciting animal news to report. This week the news is about the Puppy Bowl! Yay! Here it is: This year, hedgehogs are going to be in the puppy bowl, too! Not just puppies and kittens! That is a wonderful treat and I cannot wait to ask to watch it in a way that quickly becomes annoying to everyone around me who does not want to watch it. Anyway, let’s get to these videos!

WOLVERINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, you really did it, buddy. You sweet thing. I’m so sorry that these men were only testing you, and I’m also sorry that you couldn’t eat him at the end of it which is maybe what you wanted to do? No judging. I don’t know your life, but I do know that you are great and adorable. SO ARE YOU CAT WHO WANTS TO BE PETTED! I don’t normally like cats because they are rude and not fun, but you seem great. Excited penguin is obviously just very silly and adorable, and the chow chow puppies are literally just puppies playing around doing nothing. Good job, guys! Bowling dog is very impressive. CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WINNERS AND TO US ALL!

If someone wrote a book called Heaven Is Real and just described a puppy pile, I might believe in religion.

I wonder why the Lions love the Christmas trees so much? Good back scratchers? Great smell? Also, anyone have a chow puppy they’d like to give me?
I found turkey cat very disappointing. The cat did a great job, but what about the filmmaker? No music? I just googled Thanksgiving Music and came up with Alice’s Restaurant, Eat It, and Adam Sandler’s Thanksgiving Song. I mean damn, man. Apply yourself!
Sometimes, my cat will grab my hand for petting with his paws like that and it is super cute. The majority of the time, though, he does it so it is easier to bite me

Same here. Sometimes, she likes to use her front paws as a death grip for my wrist while using her back claws to kick at me wildly, on top of the regular biting. She never seems to understand why I’m not having as much fun in this scenario as she is.
That dog is a better bowler than I will ever be. And has better theme music.
That actually must be a pretty sweet deal for a wolverine. “If it’s dead or dying, I get to eat it. If it’s still alive, I’m the hero and I get treats”.
I was waiting for the wolverine to eat his face off at the end. It’s a pet or something? WTF?

Wolverines must be stupid because the whole time I was yelling, “There’s a house behind you that’s probably surrounded by garbage cans you can plunder!” That’s what a good old raccoon would have done rather than put all of that working to some raw food it can’t even eat.
Brilliant music on the chow chow video! Just incredible. If we had a countdown for The Week’s Best Scores Set to Animal Videos, that would have easily stolen to top spot! Just great.
