This photo of Ashton Kutcher looking a lot like Steve Jobs, we have to admit, (based on this photo of Steve Jobs in particular) was released yesterday, along with the announcement that the Steve Jobs biopic in which he stars will close the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news (“news”) first:

The highly anticipated Steve Jobs biopic, jOBS, will close the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, organizers said Monday.

The film, starring Ashton Kutcher, is one of several projects in the festival’s noncompetition Premieres section that is toplined by a mainstream star. Other projects feature Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (all three appear in Don Jon’s Addiction), Shia LaBeouf (The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman) and Amanda Seyfried (Lovelace).

WHOA WHOA WHOA. Hold up, The Hollywood Reporter! Slow down when you’re delivering this kind of news! LET US DIGEST IT FOR A SECOND! What did you say?

The highly anticipated Steve Jobs biopic, jOBS, will close the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, organiz–

AHHHH! Still too much! Rewind a bit, please!

The highly anticipated Steve Jobs biopic, jOBS

OK STOP! jOOOOOOBS!!!!!! The Ashton Kutcher Steve Jobs biopic is going to be called jOBS, which would have undoubtably been a contender if we had put together a list of potential names for the Ashton Kutcher Steve Jobs biopic here, which we very unfortunately did not do! Congratulations on your name, jOBS, narrowly escaping such disasters as iCreated Apple or iHate Bill Gates or MacMovie Pro, I’m sure. Very good. What a great day already. Full Ashton Kutcher/Steve Jobs photo after the jump.

  1. I would have gone with Final Cut.

  2. It’s not often that mankind achieves perfection, but when we do, it’s sublime. The band, I mean. This is a good title and all, but it’s no Santeria.

  3. i DON’T KNOW WHAT’S WEIRD ABOUT THAT. aLL THE HIP iFOLKS IN THE eVERSE TYPE LIKE THIS. cOME ON, gABE. gET WITH THE PROGRAM.

  4. I think that title is a little too OBVS.

  5. I would have just titled the movie ‘The Butterfly Effect 4.’

  6. I’m disappointed that the Kutcher version doesn’t include the candied apple that’s in the original. Do you think it’s real?

  7. Whoever came up with that should really lose his/her jOB.

  8. Shouldn’t it be jObs?

If they’re going down that terrible route, they should commit all the way

  9. it’s not a joke, guys. kutcher’s face suggests that we should really take this seriously.

  10. so mETA

  11. iJust got it.

  12. I still cannot get over the fact that Kutcher was cast in the role just ‘cuz he has a passing (for Hollywood casting) resemblance to a young jOBS.

It’s Nixon all over again, man.

  13. iJust made a bet with my friend about how well this movie will do. I think it will make a bazillion dollars and he thinks it will make, like, none.

I think he severely underestimates peoples insatiable appetite for mediocre biopics with platitudinous inspirational quotables.

  14. An American Patriot approves this movie title

  15. OK STOP! bOOOOOOBS!!!!!!

  16. Didn’t have time to read the post — when is the Sad Keanu biopic coming out?
