• Jared Leto has no eyebrows at the moment, but you can’t even notice! Totally weird. Truly a testament to how normal he looks otherwise. -BuzzFeed
  • Matt Lauria talked to The Hollywood Reporter recently about his role (Afghanistan war veteran Ryan) on Parenthood. He is wonderful on that show and I love his relationship with Amber and I can’t wait ’til they get married and in 10 years Parenthood is brought back and called Grandparenthood. -TheHollywoodReporter
  • Martin Short is going to host the Christmas episode of Saturday Night Live and Paul McCartney is going to be the musical guest! I don’t really care about the second part, to be honest, no offense, but the first part sounds great! -TVLine
  • New Zealand seems very close to just transforming into a Hobbit theme part at this point. -FilmDrunk
  • Attn. Nerds: Do you want to see the poster art for the 2012 Doctor Who Christmas special? What if I told you that it was also a downloadable desktop background? NO WAIT COME BACK -BBCAmerica

  • GQ has put together their list of the Least Influential People of 2012. Did your favorite least influential people make the list?! I bet they did!  -GQ
  • Cee Lo Green and the Muppets are in a new video for Cee Lo Green’s “All I Need Is Love.” It is not a cover of “All You Need Is Love,” which is going to be confusing for a little while, but you’ll get used to it eventually and enjoy the Muppets. -LaughingSquid

  1. You really undersold how awesome the picture of Gary Oldman and Michael K. Williams is.

  2. Um Michelle Obama and Ryan Lochte on least influential people? WRONG!!!! FAIL! EEEEHHHH!

    • I think it’s saying that we should have listened to her more? That she should have been more influential then she was/is with healthy eating & exercise? Which yes, I can see that, but she’s definitely influential in other areas, like being the best, so I guess that balances it out.

  3. Guys, who do you think they’re going to get to play Andy Rooney in his inevitably upcoming biopic?

  4. I don’t think “influential” is the word GQ meant to use for that list. And if they did, then I don’t think they understand what “influential” means.

    • Yeah, what? I was curious enough to check it out, and it is as annoying and in love with itself as it could possibly be. “Any magazine can do a year-end list of influential people who have accomplished far more than most of us ever will. But only GQ possesses the iron testicles to count down the twenty-five least significant men and women of 2012.” Uh, sure. What was your name again?

  5. They were close, actually French Stewart is playing Batman

  6. What about a Tilda Swinton biopic ala I’m Not There? Who wants to get in on the ground floor on this one? LBT?

  7. Am I the only person who doesn’t “get” Martin Short? He’s just way too broad.

  8. That JGL-as-Batman business is funny. I see no problem with it, and then immediately in the comments someone is like, “AS LONG AS HE IS PLAYING BRUCE WAYNE AND NOT JOHN BLAKE”

It’s like, who cares? Make him Dick Grayson, make him whomever. Make him John Blake. If they want to keep the continuity of Nolan’s Batman then that’s fine. If they want to make JGL Bruce Wayne then that’s fine too.

We’re talking about superhero characters. Beloved ones, yes. But serialized, never-ending kick-punching soap operas that are 70+ years old. Characters need to service the story, not the other way around.

WB has a lot more pressing matters on their plate, like how are they going to make Aquaman palatable.

  9. You can’t spell “Skeletor” without “Leto.”

  10. Kelly, St. Vincent can’t be the musical guest on SNL every week.
