Due to some prior engagements last night, I was, unfortunately, only able to watch 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation. I’m so sorry! I’m so sorry I won’t be able to tell you that The Office was better than it has been but still not great and that Up All Night was totally watchable and that The League was ok and that It’s Always Sunny was the best. One thing I can tell you, though, is that both Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock were great! (Though that might be because I was VERY tired when I watched them.) Parks and Recreation, especially. I laughed out loud at “Hey, we’re still going to assassinate him, right?” “Don’t say that.” and I was ALONE IN MY ROOM. (I also laughed out loud at “It’s not my favorite shirt, but it IS my least favorite shirt.” And LOVED out loud when Tom talked about the racist emoji. It’s about time someone on TV talked about the racist emoji.) But it was nice to see April and Adam Scott have a nice moment at the end, and it was nice to see Adam Scott and Leslie have a nice moment at the end, and I wish they would just bring all of those characters back together already. (Though I don’t think this episode suffered from them being apart.) At the beginning of 30 Rock I thought for a second that they already did a plot line wherein Tracy thought women weren’t funny, but then I remembered that it was actually the plot like that dealt with what he said about gay people. THEY RIP THESE STORIES RIGHT FROM THE NEWS PAGES! It’s like Law and Order but with comedy. (But when will they finally tackle the Dan Harmon scandal?!) It was a good episode, though. “I liked it.” Fave of the season so far. WHAT DID YOU GUYS THINK? Did you watch all the shows, or did you have other things to do, too? What did you think? Tell me.

  1. When Tom went through his Internet routine (Facebook-Twitter-Tumblr-Reddit-Podcasts), my wife just gave me a look and I, for the first time, saw how shallow my life had become.*

*I posted about this on my IRL Facebook earlier today.

  2. Parks and Rec was great. I like that April and Ben are getting along better now, and I laughed aloud when they were doing their impressions of the robot congressman. And maybe my favorite part was right before Marcia What’s-Her-Face busted up the old people sex ed class and Leslie said something like “If you find yourself in this situation…” while Ann, Donna and Andy were holding up three bananas, a cucumber and a pineapple.

  3. That Zappos button at the end of 30 rock made me literally LOL even though I was by myself. I went “HA!” really loudly and then looked around, embarrassed, even though no one was there.

  4. I think Alec Baldwin is not a good at acting when he is skinny as he is when he’s “fuller figured.” There. I said it.

  5. Does anyone watch Project Runway? NO SPOILERS in this comment:

I loved this season, and there was very little drama in the final four. I would have been fine with (almost) any of them taking home the prize. Definitely rooting for one in particular, but still happy with the winner.

  6. Was it just me or was Aziz extra adorable?

30 Rock had a monkey! And I LOL’d when Jack said “This is real dancing. Until Chubby Checker ruined everything”.

  7. The Vampire Diaries was so good last night. So much better than the premiere (partly because there was no Klaus!). I think they handled Elena’s transition better in this episode, though I’m not sure I really get what the deal is with her not being able to drink from blood bags? I definitely figured out pretty fast that Matt was going to let Elena feed on him because he feels so guilty, but it was still nice.

And then there was the end! The scene with the lanterns got me a little teary but I legit cried when Damon was talking to Alaric’s tombstone.

  8. You guuuuuuuuys. I don’t have cable television but WHO WATCHED THE LEAKED DRAG RACE EPISODE?!?!

  9. I’m a Perdvert.

  10. this whole post shut down my browser….twice.

“when will they finally tackle the Dan Harmon scandal?”

ummm….Kelly, I think you just spoiled how the series ends.

  11. The shows were great! P Rex is great! 30 Rock – sex idiot?!?! awesome. The office was good too but it made me want pie…most things make me want pie though in fairness.

  12. I loved Parks and Recreation, especially how the elderly people were like Morality police, stfu! We’re old and no longer fertile and every day is one day closer to death so let us have all the safe sex we can have before the Grim Reaper cuts us down with his pointy scythe stick.

I would have loved it more had Ann outed the husband and had one of the elderly people been one of the morality duo’s parents. Particularly the threesome lady.

And Jerry using Altavista to get to Yahoo. Oh man, even I hated Jerry at that moment.

  13. At the end of the Parks & Rec episode, when Ben is on the phone with Leslie, I could swear he said “I loved you.” Anyone else notice that?

  14. What’s a girl gotta do to get a Ryan Lochte gif up in here? Ask nicely? NEVER.

I loved that Liz had Sleater-Kinney playing on a shitty CD player before her and Jenna did their old routine. FEMINISM!
