A Monsters’ Ball from the sky? Well now I have seen everything! Seriously, though, the sky is crazy, you guys. It’s soooo high up. And other fascinating observations. Hey, good week, everyone. Let’s make it a great weekend. Have some fun for once in your life! Maybe you’ll meet someone new! Also: The Master! Whatever you do, whether it be meet someone new or see The Master, be safe out there. Amanda Bynes is on a murder spree! Do NOT invite her to your party or ask her for a ride to someone else’s party. XOXOX. #sky

“Feminist” implies they’ll be written by chicks, which makes the “terrible” qualifier redundant.

By celebrities who “put their children out there,” does she mean celebrities who go out in public with their children, as opposed to the sensible, good parents who just keep them locked in the house at all times?

I don’t think you can judge how much someone else has suffered until you’ve been in their shoes. Way harsh, Tai. I dated a guy in high school whose dad was transgender. His friends all “teased” him about it so much that he dropped out of school and did a shit ton of drugs and basically ruined his life. They’re all still friends and to this day they don’t think they were out of line. He was good looking, white, middle class. Jut because it’s not affecting you personally does not mean it is not affecting someone very, very deeply. I see this attitude a lot from Gabe, and not to get all Mom on you, but I find it very disappointing.

Posted in: Enough With The Bullying Stuff

[Ed. Note: Well, now, hold on a second. The counter-argument to "we need to stop indulging a culture of victimization" is not simply "but I know a guy who was unfairly victimized." There are lots of examples of people who have genuinely suffered at the hands of others, and that's always bad. Obviously. No one is saying different? And under absolutely no circumstances could you interpret my position on the current "bullying" trend with "therefore people who struggle with transgendered fathers should shut up because who cares." We are not talking about a case by case basis. I'm sure your friend had a particularly tough time, and I am sorry he had to go through that! Come on! But so if I do need to clarify, my point is NOT that people shouldn't seek help if they feel socially ostracized or emotionally abused. Everyone should get some comfort in this world. But they don't need the entire world to rush to their defense and hold them on their shoulders as some kind of folk hero. Cry to your mommy, and then dry your tears and hit the field again. We are in the middle of the big game and there is no crying in lifeball. I do appreciate the engaged feedback, though. Always!]

  5. let’s all show up monday with lots of tattoos on our necks. mine will look something like 60-100 of these:

  6. You guys… like me?

  7. Sugar Skull my ass.

  8. The counter-argument to “we need to stop indulging a culture of victimization” is not simply “but I know a guy who was unfairly victimized.”

That’s not what I was saying. I was saying you can’t judge if someone was actually bullied or not, and how deeply that bullying affected them, based on the fact that they’re a reasonably attractive heterosexual white person.

  9. I’ve always been told that… my gifs are inappropriate
    I’m not funny enough
    I’m too smelly
I don’t have what it takes
To be the best and staying there sweat is necessary
Werttrew and Notsewfast had their years of never being comfortable… thinking they were just not good enough.
I comment so no one can take what is mine. No one can replace my heart, my mind, my Hugh Jackman urine puns.
Winwood inspired me and now our biggest prize bears his name.

I’m older of course I’m older, that’s the beauty of it. 2 years plus. Different level pop culture references, different level upvoting, different downvoting. I want to read Videogum loooong after my image links have been taken down, long after my Monster Ball thropies have tarnished. And whatever you gotta do to make sure you chase your legacy …every moment of your life. How will you be remembered? Why wouldn’t you fight for the gre3atest achievement ever? HIT. THE. COMMENT. BUTTON.

  10. “Cry to your mommy, and then dry your tears and hit the field again.”

    Nice try, troll.

  11. Special thanks to Gwyneth for being so awful!

  12. HAPPY WEEKEND!!! Have fun, be safe, make wise decisions.

  13. We did it!!

    Happy weekend!

  14. I’m really surprised no one tatted Pinkman’s neck with Walter White. Or Fring’s neck with Walter White. That was what I wanted to do, but didn’t have time. Well I had time, obviously, because I was reading the post and thought about it, but not ENOUGH time to execute it.

Also, SETTLE DOWN, KIA SOUL ADS!! I can’t even log in with Safari and Firefox barely works. They are like a callback to the worst MySpace memories of 2003-2007.
