  1. Oh, thank you so much for those ridiculous pictures of LiLo as Liz Taylor. I really needed that laugh. It’s been kind of a weird day.

  2. Hey, The Week? Lynda Carter would like a word.

  3. It’s weird how angry that Kubrick “supercut” makes me. How difficult is it to edit a ninety-second clip of spatial symmetry in Kubrick films?! Sure, it might be handy in your first week teaching Cinematography 101, but this is literally easier than compiling clips from Michael Bay films in which an explosion occurs. Literally literally. I’m literally using “literally” literally.

On top of that, the editor decides not to use any of the iconic music featured in Kubrick’s entire filmography. Instead s/he uses fucking Lux Aeterna, which is a great piece of music that has unfortunately become shorthand for “I need epic dramatic implications in less than two minutes”. Ugh, ugh, ugh.

  4. One of the most romantic gifts my boyfriend gave me was Batman: The Animated Series on DVD.

  5. I rewatched the Tick live-action show recently and, although I absolutely loved it the first time, it was slightly disappointing. I still liked it, but it didn’t hold up as well as I wanted it to. The cartoon, however, is still brilliant and those first original comic books are masterpieces.
