Whenever a film studio decides to reboot a classic film or television show, there is always a lingering question about how they are going to handle recreating the classic scene from that classic film or television show. With the Alf reboot, for example, everyone across the country is wondering the same thing: How are they ever going to put a new spin on the scene where Alf sits in his garage soaking wet, rain pouring down outside, while he’s huddled underneath a blanket and passionately making out with the human woman love of his life, knowing that in just a few moments the world will be invaded by billions of Alfs whose mission is to destroy every living thing, while he is unable to do anything to stop it? It was so perfect the first time! (I think that is how the TV sereis Alf ended. Correct me if I’m wrong, of course, but I am pretty sure that is how Alf ended.) Obviously with the Carrie reboot (with Chloë Moretz as Carrie and Julianne Moore as the mom), the scene 2 watch will be the one where they dump all the blood on Carrie (also the scene with the tampons). But HOW WILL THEY DO IT? What will it look like? What color will the blood be and what face will Chloë Moretz make? Ahhhhh! Is the suspense killing you like it’s killing me? Well, relax. You can relax about it, because EW has an exclusive FIRST LOOK at Chloë Moretz in this scene, RIGHT NOW! Are you ready? It’s scary. Maybe you shouldn’t look. Do you like things that are scary? Before you click through, take a moment to decide whether or not you’re ready to see something scary this early in the day. I know I’ve already built it up a lot and you’re probably itching to click through, but I do want to stress that I’d recommend taking a moment to figure out if you’re actually prepared. Ok. Have you done that? Are you ready? LET’S DO THIS!

  1. True fact: pig blood makes you grow monster hands. Glad to see they are injecting a little science into the story this go round.

  2. Actually, ALF ended with the titular character being captured by the government. Seriously. That was the series finale.

    • I was just at the ALF wikipedia page, as we all are, all the time, and I have to say that is a pretty ridiculously detailed page. Also, there was a tv movie but I never watched it.

      • I saw it when it came on originally. I was like 6, and all I can remember was ALF implying that someone was a lesbian. Clearly one of my most cherished memories.

    • Actually, in the series finale, his friends showed up in a spaceship and Alf had to decide whether or not to return to Melmac. A cliffhanger that really was never resolved. They did that t.v. movie where we find out that he was captured by the gov’t, but I’m not sure we ever found out if he wanted to leave Earth, or not. That drove me me crazy for years. Like, imagine if Lost was cancelled before we ever found out what was going on with that island!

  3. At least they didn’t opt to cover Carrie with ice cream and have her stare into the souls of the viewer, all while eating the ice cream off her head with a spoon.

Although to be fair, that would be horrifying.

  4. Can’t have a gif party without my main man, Herman Cain…

  5. how old is she now? too young? okay then. moving on…

  6. That is very remake-y looking, which is my professional assessment as an image analyzer, which I do not profit from, for some reason.

  7. I don’t think she’ll be terrible in this movie, i’m not sure about the movie in general. No one can better portray the awkwardness of being an outcast/Carrie than in the original. I think that was the first movie I ever saw where I wanted the “villain” to win. but i’m hoping this movie will do the original and the novel justice and portray how tragic the overall story is.
