What year is it? 2009? Barack Obama is the President? The global economy is collapsing? Perfect. MTV Tr3s is right on time with this, then.
What’s sad about this is not that a shrill, unfunny, crude and depressing sitcom from the muddy days of FOX’s greasy-fingered grab for network television prominence is getting a second life in Spanish. What’s sad is the long list of other shows that must certainly be waiting in the Spanish-remake wings if this is even a mild success. Bueno Morning Miami is going to tear the roof off of 2011. I was going to make this crack about how I can’t wait for MTV Tr3s to air the spanish remake of Who’s The Boss, but apparently, I’m about 10 years behind the times…

FAIL.
OMG I saw “Una familia con ángel”. It was so bad that it turned to be so awesome. It was basically the same plot, and the dialogue sometimes was word by word the same as the original. So, you know, different decade, different culture, different language = UNINTENTIONAL LOLSZZ!12!1

oh, Gabe, this is old news: the argentinean version was shown in 2005 and 2006, and they still show re runs nowadays.
Also, there was a remake of The nanny previously and Bewitched, with the same lead actress from Married with children.
I’m feeling a bit embarrassed right now.
I live in Venezuela, this show is so old, haha, when it came out I didn’t know that was a remake of married with children, few people know it anyway.
Didn’t Hollywood make a Miami Vice movie two years ago?
