If you half-listen to the Today Show, you know old Willard does the crazy mumbly stuff every morning, but this morning he was joined by Al Roker (who seemed like he was sent there to Mind Willard), who he promptly pretended to barf on for reasons that will probably forever remain unclear:

And I’m not sure what he’s talking about with the “African American actor who was never typecast” at the end. It’s not as bad as fondling Ann Curry, but anything that puts the viewer in a position of feeling empathy for and identification with Al Roker is pretty bad morning show behavior.

  1. He leans over him all drunkenly when he tells Al Roker how that actor was never typecast.
Willard Scott wasn’t pretending to puke. Willard Scott just had the closest call on television.

    2 guys, 1 green screen.

  4. Frank Silvera: “In films and on television, he was also cast without regards to his color, though mostly as Latinos, even appearing as a Polynesian…” It’s not typecasting if they get your type wrong!

  5. Willard’s about two stops away from Andy Rooneytown.

I hope Willard Scott is on this show for the rest of his life, with no help. Just forgetting things and sounding confused and being inappropriate forever.
