I am saying this as someone who really liked the movie, but there is no way in hell I would want to experience Prometheus in smell-o-vision, or spray-o-vision.
CJ’s theaters will feature moving seats (up to 240 in each theater), giant fans, and strobe lights, along with nozzles that spray mist, water, bubbles, or even scents. Their catalog of odors includes about 1,000 different smells, and runs the gamut from “burning rubber” and “gunpowder” to “rose garden” and “coffee.”
Damn. Why wasn’t this technology around when I saw the Klumps

Seems like you might be a bit confused here. These guys are touting “smell” not “time,” as the 4th dimension.
Even in that special theater, there is no way you’d get those couple hours of your life back.
On the bright side, this should discourage a whole lot of people from seeing movies by Seltzer & Friedberg.
I love going to the movies. Because I am often crabby and easily distracted, I try to go during the day to avoid annoyances. Paying for a movie to smell and spray mists on me sounds horrible.
If every movie was about baking pumpkin pie, I might be on board with the smell-o-vision. But leaving the theater with a thin layer of mist or bubbles? No thank you.
Jackass 4D is going to be intense!
HEY 4-D MOVIE THEATER, ARE YOU 4-DTF?
