The funniest thing on TV last night was Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal’s bomb of a Republican response to Barack Obama’s first address to congress. The “folksy” Jindal rendered Rachel Maddow speechless, even Fox News called it a failure, and over one million Twitter users rushed to their computers to compare Bobby Jindal to Jack McBrayer’s Kenneth The Page on 30 Rock. In case you missed it, the Fox News people kindly clipped together some of the worst parts:
But where are the squirrel recipes? (Awww, poor guy. He seems like a sweetie-pie. But right now he seems like much less of a “threat” to Obama in 2012.)

It sounded like an infomercial.
I was just waiting for him to say, “But if you call in the next 10 minutes we’ll send you an extra snuggle blanket absoultely free.”
Wow, thanks FOX News. For once.

haha. all i could think of was a southern Mr. Rogers, but Jack McBrayer is exactly what i was missing out on.
Jindal/Palin is a ticket I could get behind in 2012. Sure to fail.
I live in Louisiana right now, for the past 6 months or so, and people here take Jindal VERY seriously. So, I tried to listen to him last night….ummm…no. And I’m from Texas, where it’s a given that our government representation will be at least half retarded.
A distant land. Because Americans cannot handle hearing “India.”
also if you Google him, the first news article says: Verdict: Epic Fail.
Can’t wait for his cameo on 30 Rock
President. PRES-ID-ENT. There is a syllable in the middle there, Jindal! He’s not our Present, he’s our PresIDent!
Jindal’s thumbs have to be at least 8″ long. I can’t stop looking at them.
I honestly feel bad for Jindal, and I’m a Democrat. I’ve seen him much better and more candid in other tv appearances. Most of the reviews were hyperbolic anyway – ‘calamitous’, ‘disasterous’, ‘the worst response to a Democratic speech in the history of democracy’ – and those were from David Brooks – A REPUBLICAN.
Yea, his cadence and inflections were insincere and wooden, and Dana Carvey could slaughter him in an impression, but LEAVE BOBBY JINDAL ALONE!
Jindal/Palin 2012.
I have come to a scary conclusion. The world ends on December 21, 2012, right? If Jindal/Palin are elected in 3.7 years… I think it’ll happen.
How about that entrance? Hetero fail, gay win! Someone tell his wife.
Who is that HACK who describes Obama’s speechmaking as “Regeanesque”?! Ewwwwww.
