• What you’re looking at is the first photo of Outkast’s (and other things’) (but mainly Outkast’s) Andre 3000 as Jimi Hendrix in the biopic All Is By My Side. Good job! Looks like if Andre 3000 went as Jimi Hendrix for Halloween and didn’t really spend a lot of time on his costume, but still had it turn out pretty well. -Buzzfeed
  • Oooh, I have some basically neutral news for No Reservations fans! Anthony Bourdain is ending his run with No Reservations in order to move to CNN and basically to No Reservations, except on CNN. Isn’t that something! -AVClub
  • Moonrise Kingdom did very well in its limited release weekend. Did anyone see it? Was it good? I almost thought about seeing it, but then it wasn’t at the theater closest to my house and I didn’t really want to see it anyway so I didn’t. But. Did you see it? DID YOU LOVE IT? -Indiewire
  • Here is a “blooper reel” from the Muppets movie. It’s enjoyable! I think you’ll enjoy it. Give it a shot. -TastefullyOffensive
  • Oh, and here is another beer-opening tutorial. Remember when we watched the one with the chainsaw? Well this is another one! Of those! To watch! Great. -TheDailyWhat
  • Man, when the heck is Django Unchained going to even come out? Never? Are they just going to keep releasing details about it forever and ever and never even let anyone see it? That’s what it seems like! Here are some images from it! -FilmDrunk

  1. I didn’t technically see Moonrise Kingdom, but I’ve seen all of Wes Anderson’s previous movies, which pretty much means that I’ve already seen Moonrise Kingdom.

  2. This is totally unrelated, but did anyone see Hemingway and Gellhorn last night? I tried to watch it, but I got too distracted by LARS FUCKING ULRICH playing a Dutch communist.

    • I have it tivoed. I wish they used a different actress for the lead though. That distorted face has become distracting.

  3. Moonrise Kingdom was magnificent, go see it go see it go see it.

  4. Moonrise Kingdom apparently doesn’t open in my city until Friday. They did not do a great job of advertising when I could actually see it despite showing me the trailer before almost every movie I’ve seen this year. I had to go to Google and ask, “When the hell does Moonrise Kingdom come out in San Francisco?” Take my money, damnit!!

  5. You might think that since they filmed a large portion of Moonrise Kingdom in Rhode Island, we might make it onto the limited release list, but noooo.
