This is supposed to be a PSA illustrating the effects of cyber-bullying (or “cyber-mobbing” as they call it in Denmark Germany), but anyone who works from home can tell you this is really an anti-working-from-home PSA:

Friends don’t let friends telecommute. (Via AdRants.)

hm, i don’t think that commercial is from Denmark, it’s from Germany.

  3. I HATE DAFS AND HIS MICHAEL PHELPS PHYSIQUE

    dammit.

  4. Story of my cyberspace life.

  5. I like how that one boy actually snarled as he pressed “submit,” true villain style.

  6. Hold up. Why are they IMing in English when this is a German PSA? And couldn’t they have given it a shred of authenticity by making the girl actually ugly and/or fat? Maybe this has been repurposed like that creepy Multigrain Cheerios commercial with American accent overdubs.

PS: AIM causes acid freakouts apparently.

    • Are you suggesting we put fat people on TV other than for Biggest Loser? Who wants to see fat people?!?

But seriously, if I ever witnessed a case of cyber mobbing like this, I’d employ my cyber rights of cyber citizen’s arrest.

    • GAAHHHHH I hate that fucking commercial so bad. I have to restrain myself from bashing my tv to pieces every time i see it.

German kids looove English. When I went there in high school teenagers would rebel by writing “I want to make sex” and “I love you” instead of their German equivalents because it’s tooootally cooler to express those urges and feelings in our shared tongue. They’ve got that right.
