• The poster for Ruby Sparks was released today and the tagline is “She’s out of his mind.” Which is not a bad tagline for that movie! Someone did a fine job with that! -Vulture
  • Jon Hamm is the most recent participant in Rookie’s “Ask a Grown Man” video series, and, well, these videos are always a little weird? The guys doooon’t really give great advice. I mean, it’s not BAD advice. It’s just not the best, and they all look very sloppy in their videos for some reason. Certainly no Slate‘s “Dear Prudence.” But anyway here it is! -Rookie

  • Joss Whedon wrote a letter to his fans that, to be honest, I’ve only skimmed. But if you are one of his fans you should PROBABLY read it. He did write it for you, after all. He calls you his “peeps” in it. -PopCultureBrain
  • Here is a supercut of people saying “You just don’t get it, do you?” It seems like this supercut should’ve existed before, but I’ll trust that whoever made it checked to see if it was already out there. Where would we be without trust. -TheDailyWhat
  • About a month or so ago we talked a bit about what was once Paul Scheer’s “Breaking GIFs” site, which was to be a site of original Breaking Bad GIFs, but now it’s a viral art campaign site for Breaking Bad? I don’t know. YOU figure it out. -SlashFilm

  1. When will the videogum peeps talk about Spike Lee remaking Oldboy?!?! Its very crazy important to talk about!!!

  2. I thought of a supercut the other day after watching a superhero supercut with a scene from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man in it. Someone should make a supercut of people dangling or dangling & dropping people or objects from great heights.

Some examples would include the Green Goblin dangling and dropping Mary Jane and the tramway car from the bridge in the aforementioned Spider-Man film, Indiana Jones dangling those stones over the rope bridge in Temple of Doom, the Joker dangling Rachel Dawes out the window in the Dark Knight, etc.

The first half of the supercut is all dangling. Then when whatever piece of music they’ve scored the supercut with reaches its crescendo/starts rocking out/whatever, that’s when the supercut starts showing everything getting dropped.

Get on it, internet. I want it on my desktop by Friday.

  3. Joss Whedon is awesome. That is all.

  4. “Johnny Depp says he created his Willy Wonka character by imagining George Bush ‘incredibly stoned.’ ”

Haha, how avant garde! You’d think he would have “created” his Willy Wonka character by acting like the Willy Wonka character that was in the book the movie is based on! Trés bohemian, Depp.

    • Srsly. Imagine how awesome the Pirates of the Caribbean films would’ve been if Johnny had acted like the amusement park ride robots his character was based on instead of boring old Keith Richards.
