The Monsters over at MOBFD‘s Bookgum are currently discussing Dave Eggers’ A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius. Oh, great! We all love/loved at one point that book! Patrick M started them off, and you’ll be hearing from some other Monsters in the coming weeks. Go hear from them!

  1. Raise your hand if you constantly confuse Dave Eggers and David Sedaris

  2. Patrick M’s writeup of that era is astounding. You guys should go read it.

  3. I refuse to read this book because the title is lame to the hella. Oh-Nay on the Anks-Thay, guy.

  4. If I remember correctly, the introduction advises you to skip entire sections of the book, especially those that deal with people in their 20′s. It would be wise to heed that advice. Those sections aside, it’s a pretty good book.

  5. Bookgum! Incredible! Can’t believe I missed the Infinite Jest re-read!
