HBO has passed on Noah Baumbach’s adaptation of Jonathan Franzen’s The Corrections, due to inaccessibility issues. You’d think we wouldn’t have to deal with blows like these in a post-Girls world, and yet.

  1. I believe we’ve buried the lede here. Can we take a moment…

“HBO’s decision to pass on The Corrections comes on the heels of the pay cable network’s eight-episode straight-to-series order for True Detective, a high-concept cop drama starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.

  2. They need to do a story on this lady instead:

  3. I’m going to go ahead and pretend that “inaccessibility issues” is code for “realized that it’s massively overrated.”

  4. I’m starting a Kickstarter so Baumbach can just film the one scene where the dad hallucinates he’s having a conversation with a turd.

  5. Noooooo! I’m in love with Ewan McGregor and I have the same nose as Maggie Gylenhall and even though they were going to play siblings the slight chance that they might make out would be my everything!!!
