Stop all your fussin’, slap on a smile, ’cause Blossom (Seasons 1 and 2) is finally out on DVD as of yesterday. The six-disc box set is available on Amazon for $36.99 or Netflix (but with a “long wait.”) And it has a lot of bonus features, like cast commentary, a short feature about Very Special Episodes, and Blossom trivia. Mayim Bialik and Joey (now “Joseph”) Lawrence did an interview with Julie Chen on CBS This Morning the other day, an entire third of which was devoted to the phenomenon that was “Whoa.”
After the initial excitement of the Blossom DVD news took its 20 or so seconds to wear off, I realized that as much as I loved the show as a tween, it’s very unlikely that I will actually watch all those episodes, even in the context of the imaginary “Blossom And Sassy Slumber Party” I just tried to plan in my head before realizing that that party would fall apart, because my friends are all adults now, and we prefer to do adult things, like drink wine and describe to each other the plots of recent episodes of reality television. Oh, well. At least it would make a great gift!

The ugly duckling has BLOSSOMED into an uglier swan.
paper werewolf looks like he has a large fat spare tire around his stomach and a small vienna sausage
girls have to be barbies but guys can be fat slobs right?
Sorry, should I have pointed out that Joey Lawrence has morphed into a Metrosexual alien to give my post some gender equality?
heh, metrosexuals. have fun at dinner, PW.
What if he’s tying his shoe and I’m standing behind him stretching?
It’s rare that you’re on national television these days, Mayim. Denim skirt? Really? I know you’ve grown up. But into a midwestern, middle-aged housewife?
Nothing will ever top the Hanukkah of 1993 when I received brand-new copy of Joey Lawrence’s eponymous debut album.
Oh, you didn’t know he was a musician, you say? Allow me to refresh your memory:

(You can thank me later.)
Whoa,
a. This confirms my belief that everyone that went to USC is a douchebag
b. I can’t wait until Brotherly Love comes out on DVD
i’ve been waiting for this 4-ever! (or at least since i saw mayim bialik on curb and remembered how great blossom was.) get me to my netflix queue, stat! p.s. it’s very long wait. calm down, nerds.
i also love how joey lawrence thinks the early ’90s was the “last golden age of television.” i guess i would too if the last tv series i worked on was “half & half.”
