It is a time-honored tradition to take a video clip of someone doing an ethnic or foreign-seeming dance (and/or just a straight up old person doing ANYTHING) and to lay some hip hop and/or skrillex over it and repost it on YouTube. It’s what America was founded on. Today, we have two such clips. IT’S A GOOD OLD FASHIONED YOUTUBE REMIX DANCE OFF! First there is a clip of an old man doing one of those Appalachian mountain man dances set to LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem,” obviously. And then there is a clip of some orthodox Jews at a wedding dancing to Cali Swag District’s “Teach Me How To Dougie.” Which is the best dance? Which is the best use of a Top 40 pop song for comical effect? Which is the most/least culturally insensitive? LET’S GET READY TO INTERNETTTTTTTT!

  1. The winner goes to my sister’s wedding on Saturday. We had been told my 82-year-old grandfather wasn’t going to make it through last August, and he not only survived, but jogged onto the dance floor as soon as he heard Little Richard’s “You Make Me Wanna Shout” came on and jumped around the entire time. Monsters, it was the best thing I have ever seen.

  2. I think we have a winner for “best responses”

  3. The Jews’ choreography is impressive, but I have to give it to the old man for his “Yeah, you — bring that shit over here” gesture at the :27 mark.

  4. My god that old man is a baller

  5. Wow, Santa lost weight.
