If I were to tell you that Ryan Gosling is supposedly taking ballet lessons in his spare time for no other reason than that he decided he wanted to learn how to dance ballet, you probably would just be like, well, yeah. Of course he is. But, so, uh, Ryan Gosling is supposedly taking ballet lessons in his spare time for no other reason than that he decided he wanted to learn how to dance ballet. Of course. From the Times of India:
[Ryan Gosling] has enrolled in lessons, but is doing so purely for enjoyment rather than to prepare for a new movie role.
His private instructor Jaclyn Behtan said: “He’s not taking it to prepare for a role. He wanted to learn ballet. He said he loved it so much. It’s funny because he is such a dude’s dude. He’ll come in in basketball shorts, grab the bar and go.”
Although he is only taking classes for himself, the ballet lessons have paid off for the sporty star with Jaclyn revealing his basketball has improved as a result.
He is such a dude’s dude. You know how dude’s dudes are. Always wearing basketball shorts to ballet class and just grabbing the bar and going. Other dudes are just like “that dude is a total dude.” Such a dude’s dude. Glad to hear that the ballet is improving his basketball game, too. What are even talking about anymore? Does it matter? I totally read the statement: “…he is such a dude’s dude. He’ll come in in basketball shorts, grab the bar and go,” in a manner completely different than what was intended and maybe more in line with what I would expect someone to say about a guy who is taking a ballet class for fun.
That’s not grabbing, it’s adjusting. And considering what those male ballet dancers wear, I’m not surprised it’s necessary.
