Here is Ben Linus (Michael Emmerson) in a 1992 training film for prison guards. I still don’t understand how they got Locke’s dead dad to the Dharma substation holding cells, though.

Either Michael Emmerson is the best actor in the world, or he’s actually the creepiest human being on the planet. Those eyes. Good God, THOSE EYES!
Anyone see Emerson when he was on The Practice? I still have nightmares from that appearance.
YES! Creepiest serial killer ever. He stuck heads in the freezer, right?
ps. He won an Emmy for how insane he was on that show.
His eyes are two of the scariest things I get to see on a regular basis.
They’re also beautiful, glorious, and they dare me to eat them.
Now I REALLY wish I could preview my posts. That last sentence is true, but there was no reason I should have shared it with you all. My apologies.
He methods may be unconventional, but his results are undeniable.

This seals it. Ben Episode>any other episode.
Awesome job, casting department!
The Lost casting department is the best on the planet. All the kid-versions of the characters, including their children in bizarro parallel dimensions, look just like them! I was also not surprised after watching the new Star Trek movie when I looked it up and found out that JJ Abrams used the same casting people for that movie too. They get all the clovers.
I kept seeing that logo on his breast as a Dharma symbol.
I was so excited for a second: “AH! Tie-in!”
but then I realized my mistake.
They don’t talk to you like that in prison.
I still want to know what happened to Higgins’ money. “Maybe she forgot to put the money in the envelope”–yeah, good suggestion there, Mr. Andrews.
Watching that video makes me want to recast it with LOST players.
RECAST 01
Mr. Andrews – Ben Linus
Higgins – Tom Friendly
Blonde Lady – Juliet Burke
Camera Woman – Ilana
That was my knee-jerk casting.
Other ensembles-
RECAST 02
Mr. Andrews – John Locke
Higgins – Jack Shephard
Blonde Lady – Cindy Chandler
Camera Woman – Ana Lucia
RECAST 03
Mr. Andrews – Matthew Abaddon
Higgins – Desmond Hume
Blonde Lady – Eloise Hawking circa ’77
Camera Woman – Naomi Dorrit
I’m already having too much fun imagining these play out.
*imagining HOW these WOULD play out.
RECAST 04
Mr. Andrews – Frank Lapidus
Higgins – Jin-Soo Kwon (does not know English)
Blonde Lady – Charlotte Staples Lewis
Camera Woman – Sun-Hwa Kwon (that bitch!)
I would feel so sorry for Mr. Andrews in this situation. Probably because I love Lapidus to death and would be like, “there are days and there are days, huh Frank? Let me buy you a beer.” Meanwhile, the camera woman KNOWS what Higgins is ranting about, but chooses not to translate. Oooooh! How frustrating!
Am I the only one who thinks Ben kind of looks like Thom Yorke?

Maybe not the only one, but probably one of a select few.
You know who else looks like Thom Yorke? Charlie Day. I AM NOT KIDDING.
I always wonder what I would think of famous people if they were normal losers. Like, if Jack White were my mechanic, I would be pretty sure he’s a rapist. If Michael Emerson were anything in this world other than an actor, though, I would still love him and tell him he should totally try acting.
Ben took that prisoner’s money to fund polar bear experiments.
That video was dumb. We all know that when things get a little too heated, all you have to do is drop a baseball. Quiets things right down.
That was exhilarating. I was actually at the end of my desk chair wondering how it was going to end. Emmerson and the prisoner were more believable than most L&O episodes. Also, I liked the blond female guards hair.
I wonder how many monsters saw this and sent it in as a tip. I’m guessing at least twenty.
