Via Boing Boing, Neave Television is a series of seemingly context-free (but of course, not) video clips that you can sit back and watch or control by clicking your mouse. It’s like a cross between early Sesame Street and those parts of movies where a character channel-surfs and the images come together to make some sort of sense, and are also funny in their randomness. Actually, it’s pretty much exactly like the series of curated VHS videos known as TV Carnage that was passed around by stoners in the late ’90s and early aughts, but with a web interface. It’s like a lot of things. You decide what it’s like. Neat.

Is the whole point of it to freak me out a little? Because it worked.
that might knock “passive viewing” off my list of reasons to get cable
