Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan went on the Daily Show last night to talk about his new book, What Happened. The book is a gentle excoriation of the Bush administration, which, it’s about time everyone stopped giving those guys a free ride. I’m surprised it’s taken this long for someone to speak out against them. Total JKs, I think it’s nice that he wrote this, although if you look up “too little too late” in the dictionary it’s a picture of me writing this post.

Before McClellan came out for his interview, however, Fred Schneider from the B-52ss lent his vocal abilities to the What Happened audio book:

Haha, I wish more people came out on TV with such utterly bored disdain so that I’d have something to relate to. I’m basically like all those minorities (racial!) in the ’50s and ’60s (and ’70s, and ’80s, and ’90s) who were disenfranchised and marginalized by the popular culture because there weren’t any shows on TV that reflected their day-to-day life. Except my ethnic group is over-educated misanthropes who revel in Schandefreude, and we have our own channel already. It’s called Video Hits 1, and it’s miserable.

The B-52S Recall Spitting Punks And Bottle-Throwing Fans
The Love Shack hitmakers had a series of awful concerts in the late 1970s when they were starting out, and bandmates Fred Schneider, Cindy Wilson and Kate Pierson still shudder at the memories. Schneider recalls, "We opened for The Who in Orlando ...
