From the LA Times obituary:

George Clooney, who starred with Pollack in “Michael Clayton,” said: “Sydney made the world a little better, movies a little better and even dinner a little better. A tip of the hat to a class act. He’ll be missed terribly.”

And while that sentiment reeks a little too strongly of what you might say about a tax adjuster you met one time almost two decades ago (can you believe how time flies) at a regional managers conference in a Holiday Inn ballroom, a tip of the hat to a class act, indeed.

Goodbye Sydney Pollack.
